Our process >
The process we use to deliver high-quality projects and our strong track record in health and safety, through to our sustainable practices and building techniques.
At A. W. Hardy, health and safety is our top priority. We have rigorous policies, procedures and practices that allow us to create outstanding buildings – while minimising any risks to our colleagues, clients, building users, visitors and the public.
Whatever the project, creating the safest possible workplace is top of our agenda. Safe working practices are ingrained in all we do. We have comprehensive and regularly reviewed health and safety policies and procedures. We also undertake regular inspections
to make they are being complied with. In addition, our forward-looking HR policies support the wellbeing of our staff, both on-site and off. We are an active member of Eastern Builders Safety Group and hold a number of important accreditations.
We provide every member of our team with a range of training opportunities and ensure they follow strict procedures. In this way, we keep up to date with the latest health and safety requirements in our premises and sites. We also maintain industry-wide standards and embrace innovations. All site staff hold the required CSCS registrations and cards. Through our 'toolbox talks', employees on every project receive training in fundamental health and safety requirements. These include manual handling, use of equipment, fire safety, noise exposure, control of hazardous substances and many other important activities.
Each project has its own unique challenges, so we are proactive in our approach to ever-changing site conditions. We write and follow bespoke risk assessments for every single construction project. Coupled with our comprehensive inspection procedures and ongoing assessments, you can be guaranteed of exceptional health and safety performance.
