Housing Development Case Study
Estuary Housing
Estuary Housing required a new development of sheltered housing accommodation for frail and elderly members of the community. This challenging scheme required us to build between two large blocks of existing residential flats, on a site that was split over two levels. As a result, piled foundations and retaining walls were required, plus tanking to basement areas.
The project consisted of:
- 24 self-contained flats
- warden facilities
- communal areas such as lounge, dining room, activity room
- launderette
- courtyard
- landscaped gardens to front and rear
In order to cater for the varied needs of the potential residents, we incorporated two lifts spanning three floors and disabled facilities. An attractive stonework arch formed the main entrance.
This quality development came in on time and budget, with the high standards of finish you would expect from a residential block of this nature.
