Ecclesiastical Case Study
Benfleet Methodist Church
This two-storey building needed to cater for a wide array of people and functions. Not only that, as it was built on the site of the old church, it required careful planning in order to maximise the use of the compact space, whilst keeping within the boundaries of the site.
We built an extensive list of facilities within the new church including:
- new plant room
- three interview rooms
- first floor meeting room
- open staircase giving panoramic views of reception area
- ground floor meeting rooms
- vestry
- full catering kitchen
- adult & children’s toilets
- a large hall
- pre-school area
- storage facilities
As well as installing a lift and under-floor heating to the interior, the exterior landscaping featured a new car park and a secure garden for the pre-schoolers.
Finished to a high standard on schedule and within the budget, the new church has been warmly received by the congregation.
