Ecclesiastical Case Study
West Leigh Baptist Church
We began this project by demolishing the existing 1960’s concrete church to make way for the new iconic landmark building. This was constructed using a laminated frame, clad with traditional brickwork and a tiled roof. The project was finished on time and to a very high specification, incorporating a:
- Baptist pit
- Church hall
- 3 large meeting rooms
- Large foyer
- Communal kitchen
- Crèche facilities
- Car park
The most delicate part of the construction consisted of fitting the bespoke stained glass windows, which make up 60% of the building. These stunning designs were created by architectural glass artist Sarah Galloway and give the building its unique character.
This project has been a great success, with the new church being well received by the local community.
