Commercial Case Study
Maldon Salt Company, Maldon, Essex
The success of Maldon Sea Salt continues and having previously expanded the production capacity in an earlier building development, The Maldon Crystal Salt Company discovered that there was a need to update and expand other facilities, too.
A.W. Hardy & Co. Limited were pleased to renew their working relationship with this family-run business and successfully secured a further new build project in open tender.
The Wycke Hill Business Park in Maldon is home to the warehousing and office side of the company and additional warehouse space was required on a new plot on the estate. A.W. Hardy & Co. Limited set about providing the enlarged storage facility which also provided additional space for a new production and packaging line and accommodation for two floors of office space.
Extensive external hard landscaping was also required for the scheme to supply both parking areas and access for distribution vehicles. The whole of the project was cut into the side of an embankment on the corner of the Wycke Hill Business Park, necessitating installation of retaining walls which was supplemented by security fencing.
A.W. Hardy & Co. Limited were delighted to deliver the completed scheme to the satisfaction of the client and the exacting requirements of the design team.
